Improved security with SafeFrame random domains

by thaterrormessage » Wed Oct 14, 2020 2:41 pm

Hello Partner,
In order for Google to provide the highest standard of security for ads served for your reservation traffic, on Oct. 26, 2020 we will change the behavior of the default SafeFrame security network level setting from “Fixed” to “Random.” With this change, SafeFrame utilizes randomized subdomains to further isolate SafeFrame content and provide stronger security guarantees. This setting applies to all reservation creatives configured to render inside a SafeFrame. There is no change to backfill display ads, as they already utilize randomized subdomains.
We remain committed to safeguarding our publishing partners and users. This change enables Google to better protect your site from security risks. To learn more about this setting please visit our help center.

Yours sincerely,
The Google Ad Manager Team
