USB Accessories Disabled (USB C Hub HDMI Adapter,QGeeM 7 in 1 Type C Hub to HDMI)

Whenever I plug in my USB-C hub to my MacBook Pro, I get a message:

Usb Accessories Disabled Macbook Usb Hub
Usb Accessories Disabled Macbook Usb Hub (27.29 KiB) Viewed 323 times
USB Accessories Disabled
Unplug the accessory using too much power to re-enable USB Devices.

The USB-C hub doesn't have any devices attached. Even if I plug in my MacBook power adapter to the USB-C hub, I get the USB Accessories Disabled message. Faulty???
