Your TD Ameritrade brokerage account will be moving to Schwab (Email)

Post by thaterrormessage »

Key takeaways about your transition to Schwab

No action is necessary—your TD Ameritrade brokerage account ending in XXXX will automatically and securely transition to Schwab at no cost to you, on or about Tuesday, May 30, 2023. On that date, you'll become a client of Schwab, and Schwab will become the custodian of your account.

You'll be able to access, trade in, and withdraw cash from your TD Ameritrade account through Friday, May 26, 2023, at 8:30 p.m. ET. After that, you won't be able to access your account. Your assets (cash and securities positions) will be moved to Schwab over your transition weekend. You'll be able to trade and otherwise transact in your Schwab account on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

Your account will be enrolled in Schwab's Cash Features Program, and the cash feature assigned to your account will be changed from the TD Ameritrade FDIC Insured Deposit Account (IDA) to the Schwab Bank Sweep.

You can choose not to move your account to Schwab ("opt out") by either liquidating your account or moving your assets to another broker-dealer. TD Ameritrade will not charge Outbound Full Account Transfer fees. See important details and dates below.

The Schwab Transition Center has been set up to further support your transition to Schwab and will show specific information on your transition to Schwab, including what's moving, key dates, and FAQs.
